Blue Book - A UFO Project?
Written on Jan 14, 2009 // .Project Blue Book was set up by the Government in 1952 to scientifically study UFO’s and identify whether they are of particular threat to our security. The Blue Book project was terminated in 1969. By then, they have already collected 12,618 UFO reports. Most were tagged as misidentified aircrafts such as weather balloons or other conventional aircrafts and even stars and clouds were said to be misidentified as a UFO. Many were tagged as hoax and only a few of the UFO sightings went to the unknown, which prompted many UFOlogist to further study the sightings.
Blue Book Findings (USAF Fact-Sheet 95-03)
From 1947 to 1969, the Air Force investigated Unidentified Flying Objects under Project Blue Book. The project, headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, was terminated December 17, 1969. Of a total of 12,618 sightings reported to Project Blue Book, 701 remained “unidentified.”
The decision to discontinue UFO investigations was based on an evaluation of a report prepared by the University of Colorado entitled, “Scientific Study of Unidentified Flying Objects;” a review of the University of Colorado’s report by the National Academy of Sciences; previous UFO studies and Air Force experience investigating UFO reports during 1940 to 1969.
As a result of these investigations, studies and experience gained from investigating UFO reports since 1948, the conclusions of Project Blue Book were:
- No UFO reported, investigated, and evaluated by the Air Force has ever given any indication of threat to our national security.
- There has been no evidence submitted to or discovered by the Air Force that sightings categorized as “unidentified” represent technological developments or principles beyond the range of present day scientific knowledge.
- There has been no evidence indicating the sightings categorized as “unidentified” are extraterrestrial vehicles.
With the termination of Project Blue Book, the Air Force regulation establishing and controlling the program for investigating and analyzing UFOs was rescinded. Documentation regarding the former Blue Book investigation was permanently transferred to the Modern Military Branch, National Archives and Records Service, and is available for public review and analysis.
Since the termination of Project Blue Book, nothing has occurred that would support a resumption of UFO investigations by the Air Force.
There are a number of universities and professional scientific organizations that have considered UFO phenomena during periodic meetings and seminars. A list of private organizations interested in aerial phenomena may be found in “Encyclopaedia of Associations”, published by Gale Research. Interest in and timely review of UFO reports by private groups ensures that sound evidence is not overlooked by the scientific community. Persons wishing to report UFO sightings should be advised to contact local law enforcement agencies.
After reading that Blue Book report it dawned to me that the Blue Book project was never created to study and investigate UFO’s and extraterrestrials but to further cover them up. It’s perfect right? Set up a government agency and tell the people that we are on top of it then submit a report saying UFO’s and extraterrestrials are not real.
They ask people to submit UFO sightings for investigation and as authority figures we are so quick to believe when they say that: Nope! not real. it’s a cloud or it’s a star or it’s a weather balloon. It’s sad that many of us are gullible enough to just accept whatever they say and go on with our dear lives.
The Blue Book project was a cover up and it was perfect. Just like all the cover ups that are happening now. It’s a perfect way to mislead people. Create an authority figure, let it appear as if you’re doing something, let it appear as if you share the same sentiments as the people, then go on with the kill! Make an announcement that after exhausting all means available we now know that blah blah is not real.

Jan 14, 2009, 4:50 pmthink about it, if there isn’t something else, why are they using area 51 and protecting it so securely? they are also protecting the grounds where the ufo crash happened in roswell, nm. if it never happened, and was just “aluminum foil” then why would they be protecting it so well? there are also ufos and aliens in biblical photographs. how would someone explain that? anyone who doesn’t believe in aliens are ignorant to think that we are the only ones in the gigantic world. we are only in one galaxy, there are millions, maybe even billions more universes out there. i think they should just stop hiding the truth and let society know about it. what they are doing isn’t right and we deserve to know. i think most of the world is ready for extra-terrestrial life, it’s only a matter of time until the truth is revealed.
