December 21, 2012 - Polar Shift Theory
Written on Jan 14, 2009 // .The buzz on the December 21, 2012 end of days theory is made stronger by possibilities in more ways than one. On an earlier post I talked about the Mayan calendar and how it ended count on December 21, 2012, and the I ching, an ancient fortune telling Chinese book, that when mapped on a timeline also ends December 21, 2012 and it’s at a low point of the graph meaning something terrible or destructive is about to happen.
Another theory is that of a pole shift.
What is a Pole Shift?
A pole shift is the shifting of the Earth’s axis, meaning the north and south poles that we know of today may no longer be the same when a pole shift occurs. it may even be that the north would turn into south and south to north.
On the picture above you will see that the poles are tilted and there’s a new equatorial line. I guess it is a known fact the Earth is not like it was before, it does wobble on its axis causing shifting from time to time. Scientists Albert Einstein, Charles Hapgood, Edgar Cayce, Nostradamus and numerous others all believe that the Earth’s crust is floating on a sea of molten lava and that a great amount of ice on the polar caps could lead the crust to literally slip off that ocean of lava causing a polar shift. Normally shifting occurs gradually that the damage it causes doesn’t really get that alarming. What other people or some scientists believe, is that the pole shift happening on 2012 is an abrupt one, meaning the shifting could take weeks, days or even just hours to be completed. What will happen if this comes true?

DISASTER
Think of the worst disaster you can think of, that will happen. Tsunamis, flooding, climate changes to the extremest level will happen. Some countries will cease to exist and the map that we know of today will no longer be true. There are evidences that this type of event has happened before. Take into consideration the mammoth that was discovered on ice where the body is greatly preserved and still has undigested food in its stomach, that only means that it was frozen instantly. It seems that survival would be unlikely under such drastic changes.
What would cause an instant pole shift?
The answer is planet X or Nibiru. Many people are saying that a newly discovered or rediscovered planet called planet X or Nibiru will be passing by on 2012, and if it enters our inner solar system it would cause a huge impact on our planet. A sudden pole shift is one of the possibilities and when this happens, it’s going to be Armageddon, the end for all civilization. Sudden ice age, new mountains forming, mountains disappearing, huge volcanic eruptions, it will be like a whole face lift of planet Earth.

This is a very scary stuff if you consider all the evidence as talked about on the video. They even cited excerpts in the bible that suggests natural cataclysms instead of Divine intervention.
What does Science Say
NASA has stated that there will be a change in the solar cycle during 2012, which may cause a reversal of its own magnetic poles. This could have a profound effect on the polarity of our own world.
Scientific evidence also shows that the last polar shift happened in recent history; as recently as 10k years ago Antarctica was not covered by snow and ice.
I guess we’ll never know until that day comes.

Jan 14, 2009, 5:05 pmJose, your right! earth’s magnetic field has been weaking for a while now(first time i saw an e.m.f. map was 15yrs.ago & it was on the verge of flipping) & basically just needs a catalyst, a ‘nudge’ so 2 speak,which might be when the next solar sun-spot cycle peaks. That just happens to be on…yeah you guessed rite, 2012. Think of the earh as one big e.m. liquid dynamo. Not only can the field reverse but the ‘core’ can effectively slow to a stop & literally start spinning in the oposite direction. So with that being said, continents mite not only slip & slide but sunrises would be reversed,setting in the east & rising in the west. This isn’t taking into account “if” this so called “planet x” returns. If that does happen it just increases worldwide damage. Good luck to everyone,we will need it,godspeed!

Samples taken from magnetized remnants of ancient lava flows from the ocean floor shows the magnetic poles have shifted almost like clockwork 4 thousand years about… There is also evidence from the area’s these samples were taken that the earths crust moved as well considering the rotation yielding a magnetic field and ofcourse the frozen mammoth. Our magnetic field has changed it’s position some 200 miles over a 150 year period. Scientist have estimated earth being late for it’s next polar shift. Interestingly 2012 is a date for 3 events to occur, 1. the solar system passing through the axis of the galaxy, 2. the solar magnetic field shift that happens every 12? years (not sure on the cycle length) should occur somtime in 2012 and 3. a planetary pole shift is estimated to be near 2012. During this time of the solar polar shift, the Sun is increasing its activity of solar flares and is getting brighter. If our planets magnetic field collapses for any length of time while the Sun’s solar flares bombard earth, we will be in trouble. Interesting to note also is that most think the frozen mammoth was caused by the great flood which just happens to be about the same time our last polar shift occured. This gives credence to the crustal shift as well. I could write about this all day but one last thing, the 10th planet nebiru may exist, as is sited on this blog that the sumarians gave detailed accounts of the colors and shaps of the 9 known planets along with a 10th. Most of the star systems in the universe have binary stars and some that once were part of the binary star system have burned out to become a dwarf or dead star no longer giving off light and taking the place of a planet or somthing else and they usualy have long eliptical orbits lasting several years to thousands of years. So if it does exist, which is a great possibility, that would be a 4th event that may happen as well on 2012 or near it. Lets just hope everything goes well and the magnetic pole shift happens fast, I would rather try and survive earthquakes and flooding than try and shield myself from Solar radiation and maybe starve to death or worse, get microwaved alive. I know this blog is a few months old but hey, this is my silver dollars worth for you fanatical skeptics who come across it, research it first. You maybe surprised.:-)
